Hello Kitty Cards

I am trying to do some paper crafting everyday, if only to justify to myself the expense of my toys!  Actually I hope to improve my skills by practicing everyday.  Here are 2 cards I made with the Hello Kitty cart.  The first card is for halloween, I used the Happy Hauntings cart for the Boo.  The 2nd card I am making for a co workers birthday, she loves Hello Kitty so I think she will love this card as well!

My First Challenge!

I decided to enter the challenge on the http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com.  I went through my big tub of pics to find these pics from 1997 when my kids were 5&4.  The label is from the Cricut Lite Lacy Label and the sign and pumpkins are from Paper Dolls.  Thanks for looking!

Happy Birthday Kitten

Here is a card that I made with the Creative Critter cartridge.  I used my gypsy to copy, flip and weld the image so that I had a stand up card.  The sentiment that I used was from the "My Pink Stamper" line and the purple paper was just something I had laying around!   Here is the inside:

I love this cartridge!

Zombie

My son as of lately seems to be into zombies!  So when I got my Happy Hauntings cartridge the other day, I was thrilled to see the zombie. I am going to hang this on his bedroom door to welcome him home from being away all summer.  Although as soon as I get gray paper (gasp I'm out!) I will be putting in a little headstone.  This cartridge is going to be fun!

Happy Shopping!

A friend of mine from work is celebrating her birthday this weekend so in addition to buying her a gift card from her favorite place, I made her this gift card holder using my gypsy and the Wild Card cartridge.

Fun, easy to make and she was thrilled!

This is all new to me

Last year I decided that I wanted to do something with all the pictures I got from my aunt that related to our family history. Well I thought the best way was to scrapbook! So I bought a kit, scissors, tape ect and well...I guess I just didn't get it. So I started researching on the net and when I started reading about the Cricut and all it could do I thought that is exactly what I needed! When I saw the price they were being sold for at Walmart on Black Friday, I got one. Then I needed cartridges oh and a gypsy! Thank goodness for Ebay!

Well now that I have all these fun tools for scrapping, I am finding that I like card making too! I plan on posting pics here and try to remember to give credit where credit is due since I have been, well, getting inspiration from others for my ideas. I think eventually I will be able to come up with my own ideas, but until then, thanks to all for the inspirations!
